IOTA Rebased is live – Price stagnates: Much ado about nothing?

IOTA ReBased is live – price stagnates Won’t make a difference

IOTA ReBased campaign attracted great attention when the project was announced in December 2022. Now the time has come: IOTA ReBased is live. But the price of IOTA shows no reaction and remains in the groove.

In December 2022, IOTA ReBased was announced as an event supposed to revolutionize the ecosystem. Essentially, it promised that well-known crypto influencer and sports presenter Paul Hollywood would give IOTA attention.

Sports presenter Paul Hollywood as a marketing ambassador for IOTA ReBased

The defects in the business plan are evident among the public. Paul Hollywood, who actually bears the name Paul Holowaty, only averages 2 million viewers for major sporting events like the Super Bowl. That’s not much when you want to attract mass attention. His other acumen in crypto marketing is also deemed negligible by industry insiders. Thus, even with the release of IOTA ReBased, no enthusiasm is detected in terms of price development for IOTA. One does not feel the power of a mass campaign.

Meanwhile, the longer-term scenario is rather that IOTA’s major projects, which were also highlighted in IOTA ReBased, will fail to create reform in the foundational technology. The much-quoted partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in any case, has already ended – without significant impact. Major developments such as decentralized ledger solution Shimmer and ongoing development in Tangle are also not advancing adequately. The foundation expects critical voices from within the crypto cottages and fear abounds of organizational upheaval.

Conclusion:

IOTA ReBased was evidently unable to deliver what was promised. The spectacular event of recent months has not been enough to drive groundbreaking charged change. Even Paul Hollywood as a football event presenter cannot change the perception of events in retrospect.
