AI crypto bot AiXBT loses Ethereum worth 100,000 US dollars through hack
The cryptocurrency market is still struggling after the sharp declines of 2022 that saw many companies and projects go bankrupt. But the remaining market participants, particularly those dealing in automated trading solutions, are facing new challenges. As recently as April 2023, the AI bot AiXBT announced the equivalent of 12 million dollars in sales without human intervention, thanks to complex artificial intelligence algorithms. Now AiXBT reports an attack on its crypto bot infrastructure. As a result, digital assets worth $100,000 were irretrievably lost.
AiXBT took immediate countermeasures
In a press release, AiXBT explains that the loss mainly involved Ethereum. The company has analyzed the incident and confirmed a high level of sophistication in the attack. According to AiXBT, a vulnerability in its protective mechanisms was exploited to siphon off the digital assets. Customer funds reportedly were not affected. AiXBT claims to have immediately implemented countermeasures to eliminate the vulnerability and prevent future attacks.
AiXBT is still optimistic about the future
Despite this setback, AiXBT’s management expresses optimism about the future. The company’s advanced learning algorithms are supposed to ensure continued success in the highly competitive crypto market, enabling the bot to reliably deliver returns for its users. AiXBT aims to emerge stronger from the attack and maintain its market position. However, the effectiveness of measures taken to restore confidence in AiXBT remains to be seen.
